Dr. Sarah is highly proficient in the Diversified, Thompson, Gonstead, and Sacro-Occipital techniques, along with extremity, pediatric, and prenatal adjusting. Each adjustment is custom tailored to the patient depending on age, comfort level, condition, effectiveness, and recommendation by the doctor. Dr. Sarah takes care of all spines!
The Activator Method is a technique which utilizes a tool to deliver high velocity and low impact adjustments to the spine or extremity. This highly effective yet gentle technique is often used on infants and toddlers, as well as patients with osteoporosis, those with nervousness about chiropractic adjustments, or simply when it is doctor recommended.
Some might be familiar with the term "drop tables" which is used in these adjustments. Each piece of the adjusting table cocks up and then drops a small amount, allowing the force of the adjustment to be applied completely to the patient without any popping, cracking, or twisting.
Ultrasound uses sound waves to treat musculoskeletal issues. The benefits of ultrasound are: increased healing speed due to increased blood flow, reduction of swelling and edema decreasing pain in the treated area, and a decrease in the amount of tough scar tissue increasing mobility and decreasing pain.
Muscle stimulation aids in pain relief by also increasing blood flow, relaxing muscle tone, and temporarily shutting off nerve receptors.
Dr. Sarah firmly believes that chiropractic adjustments are the most important thing she can give to help restore function in the body and relieve pain. However, working on soft tissue (muscles, tendons, ligaments) in addition to the adjustments can make results happen faster and last longer.
